ATESTEO is growing! We are opening a new test center in Lansing, Michigan — the perfect opportunity for you to contribute to building our newest location from the ground up. Get in on the action and bring your ideas to life!

Your Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment
  • Support electrical systems associated with drivetrain test cells, dynamometers, drives, instrumentation, and auxiliary equipment
  • Troubleshoot control panels, PLCs, HMIs, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, relays, and other control components
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, and technical documentation
  • Support integration of new test equipment and upgrades to existing test cells
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable electrical safety requirements
  • Perform lockout/tagout procedures and ensure equipment is properly isolated before servicing
  • Provide electrical and controls support for drivetrain testing, including engines, transmissions, axles, electric motors, and related systems
  • Support installation and operation of dynamometers and associated test equipment
  • Troubleshoot test-cell faults and minimize equipment downtime
  • Assist test engineers and technicians with setup and operation of test systems
  • Follow and comply with all applicable requirements, procedures, and processes established under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO/IEC 17025
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Associate degree, technical degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in electrical, controls, automation, or a related field preferred
  • Industrial electrician license or journeyman certification is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience working with industrial electrical and control systems preferred
  • Experience with PLC-based control systems and industrial automation
  • Experience troubleshooting motors, drives, VFDs, sensors, relays, and control circuits
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and control-system drawings
  • Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition systems is highly desirable
  • Experience in automotive, powertrain, dynamometer, manufacturing, or test-cell environments is a strong plus
  • Willingness to take on mechanical work in individual cases
  • Strong communication skills of both oral and written English
